We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email, business details (ABN, ACN), financial data (transactions, invoices, payroll), and any files you upload. We also collect usage data such as login times, features used, and device information to improve our service.
Your data is used to provide accounting services, process payroll, generate BAS returns, and deliver the features described in our product. We use aggregated, anonymised data to improve our platform. We never sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
All data is stored in secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure. We use bank-level encryption (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel with multi-factor authentication.
Axon Books complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We handle Tax File Numbers in accordance with the Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule 2015.
We retain your financial records for the duration of your account plus 7 years (as required by ATO record-keeping obligations). You can request data export or deletion at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
We use selected third-party services for payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and infrastructure hosting. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and comply with relevant privacy laws.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can export all your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@axon-books.com.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
